Activities held at the Carers Support Centre

Bereavement Support Group

A dedicated gathering that offers emotional support and companionship to those who have lost a loved one. It is held on the second Tuesday of every month from 14.30 - 16.00pm, and is facilitated by a representative from St. Christopher's Hospice. These meetings provide a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, express their grief, and receive guidance and support from both the hospice professional and fellow group members.

Book Club

Meet with other carers to discuss a different book every first Wednesday of the month, 11am-12noon. Books are supplied by Croydon Library.

Croydon Carers Writers Group

Come and join a small group to explore the benefits of words for enjoyment and for our physical, mental, and emotional health. The Writers Group is about using writing in a gently therapeutic way as a means of dealing with stress and improving wellbeing. The group meets every third Monday of the month, 13.30 - 15.00pm.

Carers Support Centre Choir

Stay connected and enjoy uplifting, soothing singing with a warm, friendly, inclusive group of carers. All voices are welcome and no previous experience of singing required as everything is taught by ear. The choir is led by local singer and teacher, Katie Rose and you can read all about her work on her website. The choir meets at the Carers Support Centre every second and last Wednesday morning 10.30-11.45am.

Dementia Peer Support Group

Are you caring for someone with dementia? You are warmly invited to a monthly gathering of dementia carers to share information, advice and experience and find mutual support and friendship. The group gets together every third Tuesday of the month from 14.30 - 16.00pm.
