Together, a grassroots group for disabled carers in Croydon, will be launching at the Carers Support Centre as part of Carers’ Rights Day, the national campaign to raise awareness of the rights of people looking after friends and relatives with an illness or disability.

Together aims to raise awareness of the unique issues faced by disabled carers balancing their own health and support needs with caring responsibilities. Funded by Awards for All, Together also provides a safe space for disabled carers to enjoy friendship and mutual support.

There will be an opportunity to hear from local politicians, including Croydon Central MP Sarah Jones, and members of the local disabled carer community.

If you are interested in attending this event or for further information, please contact the group coordinator Mandy Maddock on mandy@dpact.org.uk or call 07889 971 713.
