Croydon Whizz-Kidz Ambassador Club has just been set up and offers young people aged 10-18 who have physical disabilities the chance to take part in a range of activities designed to be fun and to improve independence.
The Club will be launched at Camp Whizz Kidz – a three-day residential camp at Dorton House School, Sevenoaks, Kent on Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 October.
Following Camp Whizz Kidz the Ambassador Club will meet every six weeks on Saturdays and during school holidays. The first session will be on Saturday 13 November, 10am – 3.30 pm, at St Giles School, South Croydon. Each session will promote independent living skills and provide opportunities to try new sports, develop wheelchair skills, take part in music and drama activities, make new friends and generally have a great time.
It is completely free to join the Ambassador Club, and to attend Camp Whizz Kidz, all that is asked in return is that the young person attends as many sessions as possible – for those who attend all the meetings there is the chance to win an iPod Touch.
There are 15 places available on a first come first served basis so if you want to find out more, or already know you want a place, call 020 7233 6600 or email
