The Carers Support Centre at 24 George Street is the result of a partnership between Croydon Council and the Whitgift Foundation.
The Centre is open Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm, and carers are welcome to drop in for information and advice on their caring role.
There is a range of local and national information available, as well as Carers' Information Service publications, and our Advice Workers will be on hand to help and advise.
If possible staff will answer any enquiries there and then, but if further advice is needed carers will be referred or signposted to other organisations.
Organisations with offices above the Centre include Off the Record's Young Carers Project, Rethink, CNCA Carers Telephone Befriending Service, Horizon Care and Welfare Association, South Thames Crossroads Carers Support and Advocacy Service, Healthwatch Croydon, Parents in Partnership (PIP), Family Lives Croydon Independent Support Service, JAGS Foundation and on a part-time basis - Croydon Mencap's Older Carers Assessessment and Support Service.
The Carers' Information Service, and many of the organisations based at the Centre, are members of the Carers Support Network (CSN). The CSN is formed of local organisations that have been funded by Croydon Council to work together and deliver a range of services to support carers. For more information about the CSN click to view a leaflet.
